Here are a few key takeaways from this Class:

Color mixing

We describe our colors by Value and Tone. The value being how bright or dark our color is, and Tone being what color tint our color has. Using our 3 primary colors + Brown & White, we can mix any color that we want, by adjusting its Value and Tone.

Mindset Strategy

Practice 5 to 7 HA Breaths. With eyes closed, inhale deeply through your nose, filling your lungs, hold your breath for a few seconds, then exhale fully through your mouth making a "haaaaa" sound. Repeat and relax for a few moments after your last round.

This technique will provide you relaxation and help you get into "the zone" with ease.

Painting Clear Skies

We learned my personal technique of blending paint gradients. A technique I practiced with my father years ago and kept developing. It's a lot of fun and will require you to find the right balance of paint consistency and brushwork. If you want to adjust your colors, let your paint become dry to the touch (test on the side of your canvas in a few days) and do a new coat with more oil medium mixed into your paint than the previous one.
