Mindset Strategies
To get the creative juices flowing, dance to some fun music and draw like a kid! This will stimulate your right brain so that you can approach your creative work with both hemispheres in sync.
Drawing
For your drawing, start with a rule of thirds grid, continue with loose simplified outlines, and finish by detailing the drawing with your color pencils (representing the different elements in the composition with different colors; e.g. trees with green, rocks with brown and black, snow with blue and grey).
As I mentioned in the class, the drawing is meant to be loose and more of a guidance for our painting rather than a beautifully finished work of art. We will be painting over it anyways! In this section you can see my drawing from this class.
